BDG is a member of the .United States Green Building Council(USGBC) and we endorse the guiding principles on which the organization is founded. BDG promotes sustainable development by educating the client through the use of cost/benefit analysis on a case-by-case basis.  BDG’s experience and active participation in industry organizations, including NAIOP, AIA, and USGBC, can provide our clients with real-time information associated with sustainable design practices and assist them in evaluating the impacts such practices have on budgets and schedules. 

BDG is a LEED Accredited firm and has worked on several projects pursuing LEED certification through the USGBC rating system.  Chris Kirschner, a founding partner and accredited LEED professional, was nominated to represent the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP) Tampa Bay on the City of Tampa’s Green Building Task Force, a group formed to assist in the creation of a Green Building Ordinance for the City of Tampa.  Currently, BDG is working on a 10,000 sf building to house its new offices in Clearwater, Florida, which has applied for LEED “Silver” status.
